Our Team
Regina
Regina is a lifelong believer in the healing powers of the human-animal connection and is passionate about supporting mental and emotional health. She has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years as both a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (CA#47250) and a credentialed School Counselor (PPS). Regina’s affinity for dogs has led to various volunteer opportunities with rescue dog organizations and a constant need for knowledge in all things dog-related.
Regina is a Southern California native who is currently living with her family in San Diego. She loves to travel, go to the beach with her dogs, do puzzles, watch her daughter perform in cheer competitions, watch her son surf, and simply, just relax with family and friends. Regina is grateful to have family and friends who support her ongoing efforts of helping individuals suffering from mental and emotional health issues and connecting them with all the potential benefits of the human-animal bond.
Shannon
Shannon is driven by a sincere desire to connect with and help other people. She especially loves working with, educating, and caring for children and animals. After a career in the textiles, entertainment industry, and graphic design fields, she took a break from working to raise three sons. While at home, she discovered her true happiness comes from serving others and helping them to achieve success. So, she pursued a second degree in Communication Disorders with a focus on Speech, Language, and Hearing Disorders. This field excited her because it combined science, creativity, and helping others to enrich their lives through better communication. One aspect of therapy that was of particular interest to her was the concept of pet-assisted therapy. This was the idea on which Therapuppy™ Ranch was built.
Shannon is a Davis, California native living with her family (human and canine) in the hills outside of Los Angeles. Her passions include caring for her kids and animals, spending time with family and friends, traveling, sports, modern design, music, creating things, and cheering her sons on as they play basketball, water polo, and golf. She also enjoys volunteering in many capacities - with schools, Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, animal shelters, local non-profits, and sports organizations. She is grateful to be on this journey with Regina, helping people who would benefit from the assistance of some very special and furry, “Pawtners in Life.”
Our Location
Therapuppy Ranch is a 2.33-acre property located in the foothills outside of Los Angeles. Multiple gated areas surround the ranch house which is situated in the hills among 200-year-old Live Oak trees. A creek and multiple waterfalls (during the wetter months) run through the property. Wildlife such as deer, bobcats, raccoons, squirrels, lizards, woodpeckers, owls, voles, mice, coyotes, and other critters frequent the surrounding areas. A separate building houses a whelping center and puppy nursery in addition to a pool and training area.
